each best suited to specific responsibilities, work on every project. Bruce Finkelstein focuses on the creative and technical demands of
design, and Kitty Daly focuses on managing the administrative demands of day-to-day execution.
H. Bruce Finkelstein, AIA has been the design partner of HBF plus Architects since 1982. He holds
a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Architectural
Studies degree from The Catholic University of America. His work has appeared on HGTV and in newspapers, magazines, and the book Updating Classic America: Ranches published by Taunton Press. In addition to practice, Bruce teaches as a part-time Lecturer and Design Critic at Catholic University’s School of Architecture & Planning.
Kitty Daly has been the project management partner of HBF plus Architects since 1992. She holds a
Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. Before joining HBF plus, Kitty earned wide
acclaim as a designer and builder of costumes for dance theater companies including Pilobolus,
Momix, and American Ballet Theater. Her work has been praised in the New York Times and written
about in books on dance theater. Clients often gain valuable insights about planning a home from
Kitty’s experiences as an accomplished cook, dressmaker, swimmer, skier, and sailor.
